Walton Pier is the 3rd longest pier in the UK and boasts a 5-acre all-weather amusement complex including Bowling Alley, Arcade, Funfair and the usual seaside eateries. The beach is sandy and has been awarded Blue Flag status. A mile or so north of the development is the Naze itself, a nature reserve which is open to the public. It is an unspoilt headland that is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
